The BALLISTIC range is ION's premium line. If you are looking for exceptional warmth and maximum protection, this is the surf shoe line for you. With support and stretch in all the right places,
it is a nice fitting shoe with well thought out and cleverly designed features. All Ballistic shoes have the following standard features for supercharged sailing:

- Ballistic sole: The famous and unique aramid sole protects against the razor sharp reefs, clams and other abrasive objects.
- Plasma_Plush 2.0: The premium liner offers the best of heat retention and stretching. The deep pile fabric traps the air for good warmth and insulation, while the vertically aligned Channel structure quickly transports moisture away.
- Wrap_Up Sole: The usual flat sole wraps around the foot for a snug fit.
- Segmented tongue: neoprene in strategic places that offers a good mixture of support and flexibility.

The name of the nose construction
IS: Internal Split Toe. Proven technology to eliminate spongy feeling within the toe area.
RT or NS: For those who don't like a split between the toes, we offer a round, non-split toe version.
ES: External Split used with the Ballistic Socks since the beginning

How do the surf shoes fit in size.
The ION boots and shoes are a half size to a size smaller than your shoe size. So choose a size larger than you normally would.
