Wind, kite and golf surfing are beautiful sports. One of the disadvantages is the combination of wind and water. When you sit a lot on the water you can grow a swimmer's ear. Because of the exposure to the elements you can get a surfer's ear faster. This physical reaction manifests itself through bone growth in your ear to protect your eardrum. This can eventually end with infected ears resulting in a visit to the hospital. And often this is a temporary solution against a surfer ear, so prevention is better than cure.
The new 3.0 SurfEars fit even better than the previous SurfEars. Because your left and right ear are different, there is now a crankbait for your left and right ear. This can also be clearly seen by the different colors. In addition, the composition of the gel has been adjusted to seal the ear even better for water. An extra size crankbait has been added to the size chart so now there is an L, M, S and XS crankbait available.
Reinforced membrane
The membrane on the outside of the SurfEars 3.0 is the part where the sound goes through and the water does not. In the 2.0 this sometimes broke. In the new 3.0 SurfEars the diaphragm is made extra strong with a new construction behind the diaphragm so you can't pierce it with your finger.
Besides the better fit and stronger membrane there are a number of other small changes. A thicker and stronger string which is removable from the Surfears 3.0. The packaging has been renewed and is an eco-friendly case with easy magnetic closure.
